Tuesday is traditional day Joaquina's forró, the party that doesn't let anyone stand still. This week the party receives the national show of the master in Popular Culture Tiao Carvalho.
Born in the city of Cururupu, in the northwest region of the State of Maranhão, from a very young age he showed an interest in culture and regional art. After moving to São Paulo, he formed the Bandas Mexe com Tudo, the Mafuá band and the Cupuaçu Group, in addition to working with renowned artists. Wherever he goes, he encourages the formation of new groups for research and practice of popular dances. The artist has already released two solo albums. In 2004, in recognition of the important social, cultural, artistic and educational work that he develops in São Paulo, Tião Carvalho received the title of Citizen of São Paulo, by the City Council of the city.
Already traditional, the party leaves no one still. Even those who don't know how to dance a forrozinho, learn on this dance floor. If you like to dance all night long this is the ideal place. In addition to having fun, you can enjoy the beautiful view from the bar: the Joaquina dunes.
