Forró di Quinta: Special Dominguinhos and Gilberto Gil at Casa de Noca

Born in the countryside of Pernambuco, José Domingos de Morais, or Dominguinhos, is considered the most important accordion player in the country and artistic heir of Luiz Gonzaga. Instrumentalist, singer and composer, in 2002 he won the Grammy Latino with the CD Arriving from Mansinho. Gilberto Gil He is recognized in Brazil and around the world as one of the exponents of Brazilian Popular Music. He plays a fundamental role in the MPB modernization process and has already won numerous awards, including a Grammy in the Best Album category World Music, in 1998, and a Grammy Latino, in 2003. These big names are played by Trio Forró Brasil, which takes the stage of the Noca's house by the project Forró di Quinta. The trio, which is part of the history of forró in southern Brazil, is made up of Bruno Moritz (Accordion), Carlinhos Ribeiro (Zabumba) and Didi Macaneiro (Triangle, Tambourine and Voice). With 15 years of tradition, the musicians are responsible for reviving the forró de pé de serra originated by the great masters of the backlands.
