The project Noca Outside the House presents the Geography Collective, born in November 2011, in Bosque da UFSC, by a group of friends who collected and researched Jamaican music and influences. Inspired by the famous sound system, ghetto culture that included the dissemination of various vinyls, with speakers and amplifiers, through the Jamaican streets. They have performed alongside several reggae artists from the national and international scene, until in 2015 it was possible to build their own sound system. In addition, Florianopolis One cent, which plays ska, punk, reggae and rock, pays homage to the Californian trio Sublime. already the band aquidasplant plays the masters of Jamaica, the Skatalites. The repertoire, which boasts the precursors of ska, goes through rocksteady and reggae with a hint of dub.
