The DeRoot presents the Geography Collective, born in November 2011, in Bosque da UFSC, by a group of friends who collected and researched Jamaican music and influences. Inspired by the famous sound system, a ghetto culture that included the dissemination of various vinyls, with speakers and amplifiers, on the streets of Jamaica. They have performed alongside several reggae artists from the national and international scene, until in 2015 it was possible to build their own sound system. To complete the night, sound with Jurassic. Alex, or Jurassic, is the selector who runs the Jamboree in São Paulo, a traditional party dedicated to old Jamaican music, where he always presents an incredible selection of original records from the time, very special sound archives ranging between Ska, Rocksteady, Early Reggae and Roots Reggae. Created in 2006, You&Me is a group specializing in Jamaican music from the 60s, but also covering the first half of the 70s in its parties. They created the sound system called Jurassic Soundsystem, which amplified countless dances on the streets and clubs of SP. They influenced thousands of people around the world through their blog where they shared hundreds of complete albums for download, as well as videos, podcasts, texts and their own collections. They have produced several historic events with legendary Jamaican artists such as Jackie Bernard, King Stitt, Dennis Alcapone, Dexter Campbell, The Pioneers, Johnny Clarke, Mighty Diamonds.
