The good vibes of Jamaican music are back at Casa de Noca. Open your heart and enjoy a lot of good things with the positivity of the band's sounds aquidasplant! The band was formed in Florianópolis and since 2002 has been spreading joy, positivity, awareness and protest of Jamaican music through a wide repertoire that includes reggae and ska classics.
Valuing the instrumental music of legends such as Ernest Ranglin, Tommy McCook, Rico Rodriguez, The Skatalites, the band invites singers from the island Renata Victoria Corrêa; Angela Beatriz Flyah, Luise Esquivel and Priscila Colturato to sing classics by Burning Spear, Toots and The Maytals, Bob Marley, Dennis Brown and others.
Currently, the team is made up of Arthur Miranda (low), Eduardo Palhoça (trombone), Guga Prado (keyboard), Marcio Martinez (guitar), Ricardo Juliani (drums), Tim Kaway (guitar) and Vito Lorenzoni (saxophone).
Formed in 2008, Sociedade Soul mixes funk and soul with rock, jazz with electronic music, adding the Latin flavor of rhythms such as salsa and samba to create a unique, extremely danceable sound. With an infectious groove, tuned to the future, the quartet: Gustavo Barreto (vocals and guitar), André FM (drums and percussion), Diego Carqueja (keyboard and synthesizers) and Marco “Nego” Aurelius (bass and voice) actively represents the scene and the power of current Brazilian music.
