Special night at Balaio de Gato, with a triple show: Mimosa Scabrella + Calafate + DJ Shaka, who starts the night's work. mimosa scabrella is a tree - and a band - native to southern Brazil. Species widely used for revitalizing degraded areas. Since it sprouted in 2012, this specimen has been refreshment for those who shelter in its shade. The roots of Mimosa scabrella absorb water, mineral salts and rich nutrients such as Os Mutantes, Som Imaginário, Di Melo e Sá, Rodrix & Guarabyra, making an original wooden sound flourish. The band features Luíse Esquivel on vocals, Juliana Dardis on vocals and rhythm guitar, Gustavo Grillo on drums, Bruno "Cabeça" on lead guitar and João Pedro Steil on bass. A Calafate emerged from informal meetings at UFSC's republics and happy hours, bringing together friends in Jam Sessions watered with musical experimentation. Guided by the groove of Black Music, the band has been building a musical identity inspired by blues, funk, reggae, jazz, samba, rock, maracatu and capoeira. In 2016 the band toured Argentina, gaining experience on the road and in the music scene. In 2018 they released their first authorial album entitled "Biblioteca do Universo". The presentations mix different rhythms and psychedelic experiences, a true ritual carried by the music
