At 20 years old, celebrated in 2019, the reggae group from Rio Point of Equilibrium dives into other beaches of Jamaican rhythm within the borders of South America. Helio Bentes (voice), Pedro Pedrada (bass), Márcio Sampaio (guitar), Tiago Caetano (keyboard), Lucas Kastrup (drums) and Marcelo Campos (percussion) In February, they released a single, Soy Latino, recorded with the Argentine reggae band Nonpalidece. On the scene since 1996, three years before the creation of Ponto de Equilíbrio in the Rio neighborhood of Vila Isabel, the Argentine band met the Brazilian brothers in 2014. On that occasion. Nonpalidece invited Ponto de Equilíbrio to participate in Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina, in a show with local reggae bands. A collegiality was born there that motivated subsequent contacts and which, five years later, generated the single Soy Latino. This is the first sample of the album that the band from Rio plans to release in the second half of this year 2019. The album will be called Família Ponto.
