Organized by the Florianópolis City Hall, the traditional New Year's celebration party usually makes the city one of the most sought after, at that time, among tourists. In this edition, Trapiche da Beira-mar Norte hosts a show with the presentation of five local bands, among which are Colors of Aidê, Kadência do Samba, Hit Me, Marelua and the acclaimed group dazaranha. The pier has a view of the stunning fireworks burning, which this year lasts 12 minutes and is released from boats into the ocean. There will also be smaller pyrotechnics shows in the Ingleses, Armação, Pântano do Sul, Lagoa da Conceição, Costa da Lagoa, Barra da Lagoa, Tapera, Ribeirão da Ilha and Campeche neighborhoods.
