Bladder 70 is a Brazilian afrobeat big band that emerged from the strong influence of the afrobeat rhythm and great Brazilian musicians such as Gilberto Gil, Itamar Assumpção, Baden Powell and Chico Science. In 2011, the band released their first album, which was well received by the public and critics. The following year, the album was nominated in the first stage of the MTV VMB 2012 for the best cover award, being also nominated for the Contigo! MPB FM Music in the Best Independent Album category.
On the upswing, the band has already played at important festivals in Brazil, such as the main stage of Virada Cultural in São Paulo in 2012, Rec Beat 2012 and Porto Musical 2013 in Recife, Nova Consciência in Campina Grande, Winter Festival in Garanhuns , Vivo Connection, among others. In July 2013, the band traveled to Europe on a new tour, visiting countries such as Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Holland and France. Highlight for the performances at the renowned “Roskilde Festival” (Roskilde, Denmark) and at the “Aux Heures d'Eté” (Nantes, France). Currently, the group is made up of Decius 7 (drums), Romulo Nardes (percussion), Gustavo Cék (percussion), Marcelo Dworecki (low), Mauricio Fleury (keyboard and guitar), Cris Scabello (guitar), Cuca Ferreira (baritone sax), Doug Bone (trombone), Danny Boy (tenor sax) and Daniel Gralha (trumpet).Start: 21/06/2014 01:00
