Organized by Florianópolis Chamber of Shopkeepers (CDL) with the support of the City Hall, the official program of the Christmas of Magic this year features snowflakes and projection mapped during the opening ceremony of the Christmas festivities. The opening event is held at Metropolitan Cathedral stairs. Traditionally, the coral composed by 300 voices from Colégio Bom Jesus, opens the Christmas attractions with children and teenagers on the steps of the Cathedral and in the windows of Palácio Cruz e Sousa, under the regency of the conductor Valeska Soares. To continue the celebrations, the Dream Factory puts on a show with Disney characters, with animated songs to delight the kids. The musical welcomes Mickey's gang with members Goofy, Minie and Donald Duck. There is also the delivery of the city key to the Santa Claus and the celebration continues with the lighting of Christmas lights.
