Filmmaker Ingmar Bergman (1918 – 2007) has a work that influences renowned directors around the world. This is because his filmography deals with essential and universal aspects of man, maintaining an acute concern with the existential condition of modernity. In the year of its centenary, Ingmar Bergman is chosen for the September exhibition of Rogério Sganzerla Cineclub. The Swedish director has produced more than 50 films in his 60-year career. The movie chosen at the time is wild strawberries, released in 1957. Synopsis of the film: Wild Strawberries is an old man's one-day trip between Stockholm and Lund. And, at the same time, he tells the dreams he has during the trip. Back to childhood. Your story. The story of a bacteriologist wrapped in a tradition that is presented by the director as a funeral, dead, of a country that no longer exists. Between childhood and the crowning of his life story, he mediates the beloved who did not marry Isak. Finally, between the finished story and nostalgic childhood, a love lost forever.
