Produced by B7Films, the documentary "Why Florianopolis?" will debut exclusively on Cinema Room of the Integrated Cultural Center (CIC), in celebration of the city's anniversary. Thus, the film will be screened in a free session on March 22, at 19:30 pm.
"Why Florianopolis?" features images of the paradisiacal Santa Catarina Island, interviews with historians, residents, businessmen, teachers and athletes. In this sense, the work unites testimonies on propositional ideas for a sustainable development model for the city. In addition, the film recapitulates the history of the Federalist Revolution that motivated the name of the city and rescues some socio-cultural factors that brought us here.
In the documentary, there are testimonies of personalities such as Marcelo Gomes, creator of the Pedra Branca complex; Walter Koerich, entrepreneur; athlete Guga Arruda, professional surfer; André Barros, father of skateboarding champion Pedro Barros; Father Vilson Groh, recognized for his work with the communities of Florianópolis.
