Originally titled as La battaglia di Algeri, the film The Battle of Algiers, directed by the Italian Gillo Pontecorvo, is shown free of charge in a session of Film club of the Badesc Cultural Foundation. Released in 1966, the film features Brahim Hadjadj, Jean Martin, Yacef Saadi, among other names in the cast. Synopsis of the film: In the 1950s, the people of Algeria revolted against the French occupation, starting a war in Algiers, in an attempt to achieve the country's independence. The session is mediated by Silvio Saffaro, from Círculo Ítalo Brasileiro (CIB).
