Cine Paredão returns in 2020 with the film At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul, by director José Mojica Marins, popularly known as Zé do Caixão. The session is on Friday 06/03, in the woods of the CFH of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), or in an auditorium to be confirmed, in case of rain, at 20 pm. The session is part of the exhibition O Estranho Mundo de Zé do Caixão, in progress during the month of March.
The show is a tribute to the actor, director and screenwriter José Mojica Marins, who died on the last day of February 19th. March is the month in which Mojica would turn 84.
Synopsis of the film: The sadistic and cruel gravedigger Zé do Caixão intends to generate a perfect son to continue his bloodline. However, his wife can't get pregnant and he ends up raping his best friend's wife. The girl attacked by the gravedigger wants to commit suicide in order to return from the world of the dead and take the soul of Zé do Caixão.
