O Rogério Sganzerla Cineclub promotes film screening Of Sound and Of Fury, released in 1988 by French director Jean-Claude Brisseau. Film Synopsis: A former teacher in the Paris suburbs, Brisseau drew heavily on his own experience in making this drama set in a run-down housing estate, where gangs fight each other and authority figures - whether police, social workers or teachers - are simply intolerable. Bruno, a naive 13-year-old boy whose only companion is a canary named Superman, has just moved into his mother's apartment who is always away for work and communicates with her son only by notes and phone calls. Bruno is shocked but fascinated by the behavior of his new friend, Jean-Roger, and his father, who makes a living from crime and practices target shooting inside his own apartment. Eschewing the conventions of social realism, Brisseau opts for a picaresque approach, mixing fantasy sequences and deadpan comedy with violence while refusing to moralize about his delinquent characters. carried out in Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), the Rogério Sganzerla Cineclub is a project with film sessions followed by a debate.
