! - This event/schedule has already happened - !

In addition to the marks left by a long history of colonization, there is a multiple and diverse cultural identity that runs through and defines our society, also manifesting itself in Brazilian and Latin American cinema. In this month of March, the films shown in the O-Lhó-Lhó Film Club, from this context, approach some realities, emphasizing exclusion and marginalization with their own nuances and particularities. The first film of the exhibition is Decolonized: The Serpent's Embrace.

Film Synopsis: An explorer enlists the help of a shaman on a journey down the Amazon River in search of a legendary flower. Forty years later, the same quest is undertaken by a scientist, and the shaman must decide whether to help the white man again.

The Colombian feature film is directed by Ciro Guerra and is from the year 2016.

The show runs every Friday in March, at the same place and time.
