The project Cinema Paredão aims to socialize, exchange and expand various audiovisual manifestations, with alternative and/or independent productions, which generate reflections on cinema as an art in constant modification. Held outdoors, the sessions take place weekly. The film shown this week is Mal dos Tropicos, released in 2004 by director Apichatpong Weerasethakul. Synopsis: Life is happy and love is simple for young Keng and Tong. Keng is a soldier and Tong works in the fields. Time passes, punctuated by nights in the city, football games and pleasant gatherings at Tong's family home. One day, when cows in the area begin to be decapitated by a wild animal, Tong disappears. Legend says that a man can transform into a wild animal. Keng then sets off alone into the heart of the rainforest, where myth often comes true.
