O Cinema Paredão show the movie Paris Is Burning by Jennie Livingston. The film is part of Classic Queer Show, shown during the month of June and beginning of July. The Classic Queer Exhibition aims to bring works that were important to the LGBT movement; whether giving visibility to important discussions or clashing against all oppression of sexual or gender freedom. Before any exhibition, we will show short and medium-length films, within the same theme. All with aesthetic and historical importance, whether for cinema or society. The film is an anthology documentary about the Afro-Latino LGBT scene that developed a subculture in New York's Ballrooms in the second half of the 1980s.
