Born on July 26, 1928, in the Bronx, New York, Stanley Kubrick was a filmmaker renowned for his almost unhealthy preciosity. With 13 feature films in his seventy years of life, the director conquered the public and the critics. Interestingly, there were also 13 Oscar nominations and his only win was not as a director or screenwriter, but for the special effects of “2001 – A Space Odyssey”. In March, Cineclube Camarim pays tribute to Kubrick, showing a feature film by the director for free every week. The third feature film of the show is The big blow, one of the most famous war films directed by Kubrick. The exhibition is on Sunday, the 15/03.

Synopsis: Johnny is a thief who has just been released from Alcatraz after spending five years in prison. Now, he is getting married and intends to lead a quieter life. But first, he plans his latest heist: an assault on a racetrack.
