Florianópolis Audiovisual Mercosul – Integrated Cultural Center

For the second year in a row the Florianopolis Audiovisual Mercosul registered a record number of entries in the Festival's five Competitive Exhibitions. The 32 selectors had the intense task of watching the 791 films submitted. In the DOC-FAM Exhibition alone, in which there were 162 documentaries, more than 300 hours were divided among the 11 selectors. Among the 432 films in the Curtas Show - Mercosul and Catarinense -, 122 in the Children's Show and 75 in the Video Clip, 48 productions from 10 countries - Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, the United States of America (through co-production with Brazil), Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela were selected to be exhibited at FAM 2018. The Brazilian states are represented by Ceará, Federal District, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and São Paulo. The films shown in the movie theater of the Integrated Culture Center (CIC) are:

Gianfrancesco Guarnieri was a highly successful actor on television, a fundamental author in the history of Brazilian theater and the synthesis-image of the engaged artist. His sons Flávio and Paulo, also actors, assumed a total distance between art, work and politics. From these two generational portraits, the grandson and director Francisco seeks to reflect on the role of the individual in society and in art.
