Applications for the Desterro Award are open to dancers, groups, companies, schools and academies in Brazil and abroad, whether professional or not. Works from classical ballet, classical repertoire ballet, contemporary dance, ballroom dance, popular dance, urban dance, jazz and tap dance are accepted, which will compete in three categories: junior (born in 2002 and 2003), senior (born from 1998 to 2001) and adult (born until 1997). The subgenres are divided into male and female solo, duo and ensemble.
The festival takes place from the 26th to the 30th of August.
