A Myriad Editions launches the publication A thousand words, a thousand images, de Sandra Checruski about the work and meeting with the artist Leya Mira Brander. The publication is divided into two books, one with a meeting-interview and the other with an analysis of Leya's work in a montage narrative involving other texts. The publication project arose from Sandra's master's thesis and was awarded the Elisabete Anderle Prize for Stimulating Culture 2014. The event features the presence of the author and guests for a conversation with the public present. Leya Mira Brander's artistic production, metal engravings, pop-ups, montages, images and the gesture of writing on the plates ended up triggering the first contact between the artist's production and Sandra Checruski. The personal relationship with the making of engraving, content and this genuine and immediate enchantment, made Sandra seek to know more about Leya's work, becoming the subject of her master's research in Visual Arts, at the State University of Santa Catarina (Udesc).
