Porchat, Djamila, Thelminha and Edu Lyra: together at the virtual fair Universidade Por Um Dia

With the aim of inspiring young people to enter higher education, the event University For A Day brings together communicators, artists, education professionals and psychologists, bringing relevant topics for the preparation of students. The event online is September 21-25, allowing students from across the country to participate.  

The 4th edition will have the comedian Fabio Porchat in the mediation of exchanging ideas, a series of live conversations that address issues inherent to the reality of these students. The opening will be a conversation about “Structural racism and university access” between the philosopher Djamila Ribeiro and the BBB 20 champion and doctor, Thelma Assisi. The program also includes chats with Edu LyraViviane Mose, the educuber Professor Noslen, Among others.

There will also be "Experiences”: program lives which will prepare the participant for the UPUD #EmCasa by encouraging self-knowledge and will address three main themes: mental health, physical health and organizational health.

challenge for a day

The entire program can be accessed through the project website, where young people can also complete the challenge for a day (25/09, 14pm to 18pm) and compete for prizes such as courses, notebooks, tablets and books. To do so, they will have to go through different virtual environments to take the vocational test, participate in the careers fair, find out about programs for accessing higher education and get to know partner universities. In each of the stages, a keyword will be unlocked and, at the end of the course, they will have to write a creative phrase of up to 400 characters using all of them.

With the support of the universities Estácio de Sá, Universidade Veiga de Almeida – UVA and the Centro Universitário IBMR, the project was conceived by psychologist Chloé d'Archemont.
