The premiere of five short films from Santa Catarina indicated for childhood and adolescence opens the exhibition. Afterwards, a session and debate with the directors, with the launch of the show Sonora Ilha.
The festival runs until June 14 with the Competitive Show, in which 51 short films from all over Brazil compete for awards. There are four acquisition awards in the Best Fiction, Best Animation and Best Series categories, chosen by the Official Jury; and the Children's Special Award, voted on by the children's public. Each one of the winners receives a trophy and the Acquisition Award in the amount of R$ 5 thousand from TV Brasil.
During the week, School Sessions take place at the Pedro Ivo Campos Theater with a program of the best national short films produced recently and selected for the Competitive Show. Sessions are open to the public, but large student groups, NGOs and associations must book.
