Special session of Children's Film Club of the Integrated Cultivation Center (CIC), showing short films produced in Brazil. The exhibition shows, in sequence, the following short films:
Fly, João (by Humberto Avelar, animation, Rio de Janeiro, 2014) Starting school is a milestone in any child's life. In the animation “Fly, João”, we follow the adventures of a little clay monkey, who needs to leave the protection of his nest and learn to fly with his own wings, overcoming his fears and limits, and conquering his place in the world.
Aniz, the Apprentice Witch (by Guilherme Araújo, animation, 2014) The animation tells the story of a girl called Aniz, who has a grandmother called Belatrix, who is a witch. Aniz enters her grandmother's basement and all the magic happens.
Sol's delays (by Alessandra de Almeida Martins and Henrique Ajala, fiction, 2015) Sol is an inspiring child, with so much inner light, that he has a point of light on the top of his head. Due to some delays in getting to school, her mother begins to investigate her daughter's routine more closely and, by observing the girl, discovers the beauty of the little things in life and the slow pace that this perspective demands.
Hugo, the monster (by Humberto Avelar, animation, 2014) Hugo is a monster who lives under a bed and has a problem. He doesn't scare anyone. In fact, he is afraid of an unknown, bigger and scarier creature that lives above his bed. Will Hugo be able to face his fears? And, after all, who is this terrible monster?
Between cans (by Carla Leoni and Richard Dantas, fiction, 2013) Gregorinho is a boy from the big city who spends vacations with his mother and grandfather on a beach. There he meets Amanda, a very smart girl who collects cans on the beach to help her family. Even though they come from different worlds, these two children develop a simple, sincere and prejudice-free friendship. Gregorinho will face a series of barriers, but it is between cans that this innocent love will find its way.
Errors (by Rodrigo Soldado, animation, 2014) A boy who starts to see the mistakes of others, except his own, in a literal way.
The Visit (by Leandro Corinto, fiction, 2014) Matheus lives with his uncle Theo, who he calls father. His real father went to live abroad when he was very young; so he doesn't even have memories of him. Today, Matheus will finally receive a visit from his real father.
