Synopsis: Based on the best-known work by Lebanese poet Kahlil Gibran, which has sold over 100 million copies worldwide, 'The Prophet' is an animated film written and directed by Roger Allers (The Lion King). The film tells the story of Mustafa, a political prisoner who, by chance, meets a mischievous eight-year-old girl, Almitra, on the fictional island of Orfalés. He shares his wisdom and her poems with her through nine stories with messages of peace, love, friendship and brotherhood. In a narrative that circulates between the cloister of her condition and the freedom of her teachings, Mustafa takes the girl to embark on breathtaking imaginary worlds.
