Common to all people, at all times, the stories that spring from the imagination and are preserved through oral records, are the basis of the show presented by the duo A Corda em Si (voice and double bass) and Consonante Duo (poetry and percussion), celebrating the 270 years of Azorean immigration on the island of Santa Catarina. Sung or narrated, the nine tales are surrounded by music on all sides and propose a game between fiction and History. They are aggregated into a large archipelago of popular culture and this unity is presented in the form of a literary-musical composition and, finally, suggests the imaginary formation of a tenth island, torn apart, exiled. This brought with it elements for its ethnic formation, language and mythology, such as witches, mermaids, fishing, religiosity, whaling and rites.
