Florianópolis yielded for the 14th time the Ironman Brazil 2014, the biggest event of Triathlon of the world. More than two thousand national and international athletes come to the city for the competition, with the aim of winning 3.8 kilometers of swimming, 180,2 kilometers of cycling and 42,2 kilometers of running. The top 50 finishers are qualified for the world stage, the Ironman World Championship, which takes place in Hawaii in October. The race starts on 25/5 and registrations can be made on the event website until 25/4.
