A Florianópolis Children's Film Festival announces the schedule for the 20th edition with a much-awaited preview: tarsilinha, animation inspired by the work of Brazilian artist Tarsila do Amaral (1886-1973) and directed by Celia Catunda and Kiko Mistrorigo. This edition will take place from October 16th to 31st. All programming is free and online: 140 films, music shows, cinema sessions with live streaming and chat, masterclass, workshops for cultural producers and children, among other activities.

Musician Zeca Baleiro, author of the theme song for tarsilinha, is the guest at the opening of the 20th Children's Film Festival. The live show will be broadcast from Exhibition website on October 16th. The opening will also feature a special presentation of the film. On October 23rd, the animation will be shown for free, also on the official website, and can be watched from any city in the country.
Registration for Tarsilinha Masterclass
In addition to screening the film, Celia Catunda and Kiko Mistrorigo will give the Tarsilinha Masterclass. The directors will share details about the film's production stages and the creative choices in adapting artist Tarsila do Amaral's visual universe to animation. The masterclass will take place on October 18th and is recommended for filmmakers, educators and those interested in cinema and the work of Tarsila do Amaral. Participants will receive a certificate.
