Antigone and four more films are on display at Paradigma Cine Arte's Virtual Cinema

As an alternative to maintain activities during social isolation, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Paradigm Cine Arte continues to cherish culture and is making available a program of films - which can be watched in the comfort of home, totally online.

In the current schedule, there is a highlight for the Canadian crime drama"Antigone", directed by Sophie Deraspe. The film follows Antigone, a teenager with a quiet life in a middle-class neighborhood of Montreal. Tragedy strikes her family when Antigone's older brother, Etéocle (Hakim Brahimi), is wrongfully murdered by police during the arrest of his brother Polynice (Rawad El-Zein), a small-time drug dealer. With one brother dead and the other imprisoned, and threatened with expulsion to their home country, the family is more divided than ever. and Antigone decides to help her brother escape from jail.

A highlight that remains on the poster is "snu", a Portuguese film directed by director Patrícia Sequeira. The synopsis is: Abecassis meets Francisco Sá-Carneiro on January 6, 1976. Both married and with children, fall hopelessly in love and decide to assume that love in a Portugal in full reconstruction from the ashes of fascism, shaking up national conventions.

Also on display are the Czech drama and romantic comedy "My Friend's Fiance" (2020), "My Extraordinary Summer with Tess" (2019) and the musical"Love songs", directed by David Stubbs.
