Santa Catarina Film Circuit for Children and Young People

O Santa Catarina Film Circuit for Children and Young People, which this year will be completely online and free, is scheduled to run from August 31 to September 8. The program includes audiovisual workshops for educational contexts, Conversations on Cinema and Education and screenings of films from Santa Catarina, with a chat at the end of each session. The activities will be broadcast live on the Florianópolis Children's Film Festival profiles on social media. Facebook e YouTube.

Registration for participation in the event is also open and can be done online. Active participation guarantees the issuance of a certificate.

On Saturday (5/9), Sunday (6/9) and Monday (7/9), from 17 pm to 19 pm, there will be movie sessions broadcast live. 10 short films from Santa Catarina will be shown, with a chat with the filmmakers at the end of each session. During the event, voting will be open to choose the best film from Santa Catarina. 

In addition to broadcasting through the Mostra's networks, the films will be made available at the opening of the event, on August 31, for free access during the Circuit.  

All Circuito films have versions with LIBRAS (Brazilian Sign Language) translation and audio description.

educational programming

From Monday (31/8) to Friday (4/9), Workshops on production practices and audiovisual mediation for educational contexts in the morning, as well as on Tuesday (8/9), when the event ends. There will be six workshops aimed at education professionals. At the forefront of this activity is the Educational Mobile Collective.

Also in this period, but in the afternoon, will be carried out Conversations about Film and Education, which aim to provide teachers and cultural managers in Santa Catarina with an overview of all the important projects taking place in Brazil in this area. Among the participants is Claudia Mogadouro (SP), from the Cineclube de Educadores; Gabriela Romeo (SP), journalist, documentarian and writer, specialized in cultural production for children; Maria Angelica dos Santos (RS), from the Audiovisual Literacy Program;  Marialva Monteiro (RJ), founder of CINEDUC – Cinema and Education, which is dedicated to the training of teachers, young people and children in audiovisual language.

Also part of the program are Conversations on Cinema and Education with Felipe Leal e Ana Barbara Ramos (PB), from the Semente Cinematográfica project; Simone Monteiro (RJ), Pedagogical Articulation advisor at MULTIRIO, a municipal public education multimedia company run by the City of Rio de Janeiro; Sonia Goulart (MG), coordinator of Conane - National Conference on Alternatives for a New Education; and the Santa Catarina Rita da Silva, screenwriter and director, who is in charge of Usina da Imaginação; and Gilka Girardello, coordinator of the Childhood, Communication, Culture and Art Nucleus/UFSC.
