The second Concerto live: Brazilian greetings will be carried out by Island String Orchestra Quintet on September 05th, at 19:30 pm with free transmission on the Youtube channel and on Facebook page of the Island String Orchestra.
As guest soloists in the live, there will be two great musicians from the Santa Catarina scene, the flutist Christian Faig and the guitarist and cavaquinist Edward Pimentel.
The concert program includes Brazilian composers, the classical to popular repertoire, the famous Brazilian tangos Odeon and Brejeiro by Nazareth, Lua Branca and Corta-Jaca by pioneer composer Chiquinha Gonzaga, the choros Carinhoso by Pixinguinha and Noites Cariocas by Jacob do Bandolin, the famous Roda viva by Chico Buarque and works by the renowned composer Heitor Villa-Lobos, among others.
The Saudades Brasileiras Concert was awarded by the Elisabete Anderle Estímulo à Cultura Public Notice, promoted by the Catarinense Foundation of Culture (FCC), in 2019.
