A BADESC Cultural Foundation, in partnership with the Graduate Program in Visual Arts at UDESC, promotes on Saturday, July 25, a meeting online to debate the visibility of women artists in exhibition spaces. Enrollment is limited and via online form. The broadcast on the Zoom platform starts at 14 pm.

The date online will have teacher mediation Rosângela Cherem and participation of Thays Tonin e Ana Lucia Beck. Themes will be discussed: Guerrilla Girls/ Radical Women: Latin American Art, 1960-1985; “Fashions or shared perceptions?”, Women artists in the 16th and 17th centuries – MASP, as well as Feminist Histories: Artists after 2000 – MASP.

The debate integrates the discipline Modern and Contemporary Territorialities, taught remotely by Rosângela Cherem and Thays Tonin. The discipline, which took place at the Foundation before the pandemic, seeks to reflect on the presence of women in the History of Art and to problematize not only a certain lack of knowledge about the artists, but also consider the methodological and conceptual, historical, cultural and political issues that are involved. in the approaches.
