This Wednesday (18), the artist, researcher and doctoral student in Visual Arts at the State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC), Luciana Knabben, will participate in the free virtual meeting promoted by BADESC Cultural Foundation. Starting at 19:30 pm, Luciana will talk about the artist from Santa Catarina Juliana Hoffmann.

One of the topics covered in live will be the exhibition Expressible of the Void, held at the BADESC Cultural Foundation, in 2017. In the show, Juliana Hoffmann gave visibility to the action of moths and termites, referring to the fact that there is more ingenuity in these insects than our vain anthropocentrism realizes. In the exhibition Sobre Viventes, presented in 2019 at Galeria Helena Freta, a plant system that survives at risk of extinction was addressed.
In the Florestas exhibition presented at the Meyer Filho Institute, in Florianópolis, as part of the Curitiba Biennial 2019, she presented more experimental works and problematized the limits of organic life and heterogeneity in a world in which the solidity of bodies dissipates and affects different modes of existence.
The date online integrate the project"The story between images and sounds", which is a partnership with the Laboratory of Image and Sound and the Graduate Program in History of the University of the State of Santa Catarina (UDESC). Coordinated by Prof. Dr. Rogério Rosa, the virtual events continue until December 16th.
