O Cinema UFSC, a project that unites the film clubs of the Federal University of Santa Catarina, promotes, until midnight on 02/09, the free exhibition of the Soviet film "Potyomkin Bronenosets", directed by Sergei Eisenstein. Access will be granted on a link especially in YouTube.
Film Synopsis: In 1905, in tsarist Russia, an uprising took place that presaged the Revolution of 1917. It all started on the battleship Potemkin when sailors were tired of being mistreated, and even spoiled meat was given to them with the ship's doctor. insisting that it was perfectly edible. Some sailors refuse to eat this meat, so the ship's officers order their execution. Tension builds and gradually the situation gets more and more out of control.
