Live organized by IABS debates consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic

Questioning the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Brazilian Institute for Development and Sustainability (IABS), in a Brazil-Spain connection, promotes this Friday, 24/07, at 16 pm, the live Human innovations: the new normal. The transmission will take place through the Youtube channel IABSTV and is part of UnIABS – an informal online environment for conversations and knowledge exchange.

Questions addressed

What will the new normality look like in relation to social innovation and human development?

Can the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, in some way, contribute to accelerating the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals?

What uncertainties regarding social inequalities became more expressive during this period of pandemic?

Participating in this edition:

Carlos Matix, professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid — he currently directs the Center for Innovation in Technology for Human Development at the same University (itdUPM).

Marcel bursztyn, PhD in Economic and Social Development from the Université de Paris 1 - Sorbonne, professor at the Center for Sustainable Development at the University of Brasília and collaborating professor at the Production Engineering Program at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

José Pugas, political scientist, partner of the company CEPTIS Agro and Vice President of Institutional Relations of the ILPF Network. The moderation is in charge of the IABS Technical Director, Alejandro Muñoz, Master in Sustainability with solid experience as Project Director of the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development in Brazil and as a consultant to UNESCO.
