O Island String Orchestra Quintet will hold, on October 18, its ª 3 live Elisabete Anderle Award 2019. Scheduled for 19:15, the presentation will be broadcast from the Coral Association of Florianópolis, to the Facebook page and Orchestra YouTube channel.
Na live, the quintet will have as guests the musicians Dudu Pimentel e Marcos Paulo Dalmacio, which will help to raise, through music, the question of Pink October.
Fulfilling the repertoire, works by Brazilian composers from the classical and popular repertoires will be performed - creating a dialogue between works known to the public and pieces of great musical value that for various reasons have remained unexplored.
The Pink October theme also serves to honor Chiquinha Gonzaga (1847-1935) and Francisca Aquino (1956-2019) pianists, composers, arrangers, extremely important for Brazilian Music, in the program with works also by Tom Jobim, Chico Buarque and Jaime Zenamon.
