The series of lives in my corner, created by the Institute of Culture of PUCRS, makes a special edition to launch the artist's first album Peter Cassel. The broadcast will be on September 17, at 21 pm, on the @pucrscultura profiles, on Instagram and Facebook, and on the PUCRS channel on YouTube. The next day, the disc will be available in audio on major digital platforms.
The album presented on the program contains four original songs, two poems set to music and two re-recordings. "Abrir" is an album of contemporary Brazilian songs, especially interested in lyrics with poetic unfolding. It counts with the special participation of Clarissa Ferreira, who plays the violin on the track Piscina, and Juliana Perdigão, with whom Pedro shares the vocals on Any Um. The poems set to music, by Paulo Leminski and Marilia Kubota from Curitiba, reinforce the precise poetics that Pedro builds in authorial songs such as Aguaceiro. By contemporary composers Marina Wisnik and Nina Becker, Pedro re-records the songs Para o Nada and O Seu Azul.
Na live, in addition to the presentation of the album in its entirety, Pedro, accompanied by the album's producer and guitarist Daniel Roitman, shows other original songs that did not appear on the album, along with versions of songs by composers of our time.
