A 2nd Contemporary Egyptian Film Festival presents 24 titles produced between 2011 and 2019, which reveal the new generation of Egyptian filmmakers in documentaries and fiction of different genres - from comedy to horror, selected by the producer and curator Amro Saad, an Egyptian naturalized Brazilian.
This Sunday (16), two films will be screened and debated:
17pm Session –Dry green”, by Mohammed Hammad (Egypt, 2016). 73 min. 14 years.
Synopsis: Iman is a conservative religious young woman who is uncomfortable with what others think of her and who maintains a rigid stance on the extinction of social traditions. A terrible discovery, however, will make her abandon all the traditions to which she was once so attached.
20pm Session –don't kiss me”, by Ahmad Amer (Egypt, 2017). 103 min.12 years.
