In the year of the 500th anniversary of the death of one of the most important plastic artists of the Renaissance movement, the project Virtual Museums, will take the public virtually to Italy, to reveal a little more about Rafael Sanzio's career.

Born in the Italian city of Urbino in 1483, Raphael became a papal favorite and a reference to the high Renaissance in the XNUMXth century. Referred to as the “prince of painters”, Raphael was, alongside Michelangelo and Leonardo Da Vinci, one of the most prominent artists of the Italian Renaissance (XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries). During this session of the Virtual Museums, the public will be guided to the Galleria degli Uffizi, in Florence, and the Stanza di Raffaello, in the Vatican, where it will be possible to contemplate, among other paintings, the celebrated "School of Athens".

the transmission online, led by the art educator Claudio Toscan, will be at 15 pm and can be checked by Instagram @institutomaratonacultural and the channel of Project Youtube.

The Virtual Museums 2020 project is carried out by the Instituto Maratona Cultural through the Municipal Law of Incentive to Culture of Florianópolis, with cultural support from the Corporate Park.
