Since the pandemic that paralyzed the cultural sector, storytellers have also sought to reinvent themselves. With that, a group got together and found their refuge on the internet. With the intention of moving the creative economy and promoting virtual meetings, the Belazarte Artistic Productions created the project "Reconto – Each in their own corner”, an international exhibition of storytellers, totally online and live. The event will take place on October 12, with a live broadcast on the Zoom platform.
The event will feature themed story wheels always with four guests, one of them international. Among the guests are Bia Bedran (RJ), Roberto de Freitas (MG), Ana Sofia Paiva (Portugal) and Luciano Pontes (PE), in addition to Benita e José Mauro.
The idealization and artistic direction is Jose Mauro Brant, award-winning actor, playwright, with almost 30 years dedicated to the craft of storytelling, who shares the curatorship with Benita Prieto, an experienced storyteller and event producer in the area of reading and literature that today has its place in Alhandra, Portugal.
The second edition of the “Reconto” project will be on October 31st and Halloween is the inspiration. A new group of narrators will tell stories of witches, cuckas, sacis and other animals from world folklore.
