To discuss the long “Almost Two Brothers”, by Lucia Murat, the BADESC Cultural Foundation Film Club, in partnership with the Forum of the Lacanian Field of Florianópolis, promotes on August 14th another edition online da couch session.
With the mediation of the filmmaker and curator of the Foundation's Cineclube, Vanessa Sandre, the virtual meeting will start at 19 pm on the Foundation's Youtube channel.
The debated film shows the relationship between the favela and the middle class in Rio through the friendship between Miguel and Jorge. Divided into three phases, the 50s, 70s and the current one, the plot is interrupted by the social abyss between the two characters and Brazilian politics. available for free online.
Invited panelists are Leojorge Panegalli, psychoanalyst, member of the Forum of Campo Lacaniano de Florianópolis, graduated in Psychology from UFSC and Master's in Psychoanalysis and Philosophy, Douglas Rodrigues Barros, philosopher graduated from UNIFESP, and Sara M. Carvalho, Master's student in Social Psychology at PUC SP, postgraduate student in Psychoanalysis at the Instituto Gerar de Psicanálise, Researcher at Núcleo Inanna on topics such as racial relations, whiteness and feminisms.
