The trio formed by Tie Pereira (low), Mauro Borghezan (battery) and Fabio Carlesso (guitar) another edition of the Sixth Jazz AF, event promoted by French Alliance of Florianopolis. The show, which will be held remotely, marks the premiere of this year's season and is set for November 6th with the Special John Scofield: A Go Go. The transmission will be through the channel on Youtube of the French Alliance of Florianopolis.
Played from 20pm, the setlist da live will feature the main tracks from the album a go go. Released in 1998, the album is an undeniable example of the versatility of John Scofield, a 68-year-old American guitarist. It was recorded with the trio Medeski, Martin and Wood and is considered one of the best in the musician's career.
Sixth Jazz AF
Started in 2014, 58 editions of Sexta Jazz have already been held. The project occupied different stages: the Fabiano Silveira Cultural Center, the Lindolf Bell room, at the Integrated Cultural Center (CIC) and, since 2018, the parking lot of Shopping Iguatemi. Since then, there have been memorable concerts and tributes to world jazz icons such as Bill Evans, Miles Davis and Ella Fitzgerald; passing through Brazilians like Hermeto Pascoal and Alegre Corrêa, from Santa Catarina; and names like Paquito D'Rivera, Erykah Badu, Avishai Cohen and Wes Montgomery.
In 2020, Sexta Jazz will have a season of concerts in live streaming. Between November and December, there will be five editions to miss the nights of good music.
