In its 11th edition, the event debates one of the most complex topics ever discussed in the country. According to the National Education Plan, all schools in the country, public and private, must follow a single curriculum for basic education. PNE believes that the common curriculum is an attempt to ensure that all students have the same learning opportunities, but opinions differ. On the other hand, experts believe that this would not be a democratic teaching policy, as each region has its singularities.
The proposal is under discussion and should be ready by July 2016. The subject will be highlighted at the meeting, which will bring together renowned educators from all over Brazil.
