O therapy dog is a project of Welfare Organization (Yay!), in which volunteers go to the Florianópolis City Hall kennel to spend some time with dogs that have been taken in for mistreatment. Volunteers walk and play with the dogs, providing them with moments of joy in an attempt to make them regain their confidence in the human being. The event takes place every Saturday and admission is free, however, all participants are encouraged to bring donations.
