The twentieth Photographic Marathon takes place this weekend in celebration of Florianópolis' anniversary. About 400 professional and beginner photographers participate in the event that awards the best images of the city. The contest, which lasts up to 30 hours, has the phrase "Beyond what you see" as its central theme, and distributes around R$20 in prizes. Promoted by the Municipal Department of Culture and the Florianópolis Cultural Foundation, the event aims to reveal new perspectives and stimulate a taste for photography.
