Screening of the feature film “Evoé – portrait of an cannibal”

Next Thursday, May 09th, the feature film “Evoé – portrait of an anthropophagist” will be shown, a session organized by the Cine Imagens Políticas team. Held seven years ago by the collective of the same name in partnership with the BADESC Cultural Foundation, Cine brings the film and shortly after, a conversation with Camila Ashermann and Esha, both actresses and art educators. The event is free and starts at 19pm, at Fundação Cultural BADESC. Genre: Documentary Duration: 104 minutes Location: Brazil Year: 2010 Director: Elaine César and Tadeu Jungle. Synopsis: A film that mixes testimonials and historical images from the career of director, actor and playwright José Celso Martinez Corrêa, from Teatro Oficina. Cine Imagens Políticas is a partnership between the Political Images Research Group of the UDESC Arts Center and the BADESC Cultural Foundation. This is the seventh year of the film club, with more than 50 films shown and more than 170 artists involved. The project mainly aims to circulate films that have not accessed major circulation networks. Since 2016, Cine Imagens Políticas has prioritized the circulation of Santa Catarina and national productions in exhibitions, valuing local culture, and the focus of 2019 is Latin American productions.
