O International Socio-Environmental Film Festival – Planeta.Doc establishes in Brazil a window for showing and awarding documentaries, television programs and animations that show the advancement of knowledge about the functioning of the Earth as a living system and promote reflection on contemporary society.
The festival seeks to disseminate themes related to the preservation of life through films that focus on the challenges of sustainability and present the solutions that are being generated to enable societies integrated into their natural habitat. It launches the challenge of thinking about the importance of the role of human beings in driving the destiny of the planet. The 2014 edition shows dozens of films at different times.
