The Department of Culture of Florianópolis informs that the selection of students will be carried out for admission to the Escola Livre de Música in Campeche Nucleus, for the year 2014/second semester. Initially, 98 places are offered for free courses in music and musical instruments. The courses are open to young people, adults and children from 6 years of age. For people over 13 years old, who have some knowledge of music and instrumental practice, places are offered for free courses in singing, violin, viola, saxophone, transverse flute, percussion, guitar and acoustic guitar. Candidates will be submitted to an assessment to level the classes. The courses last three years, with classes offered in morning, afternoon or evening shifts, depending on the student's choice and the availability of professors. The vacancies offered by this selection process will be occupied, primarily, by low-income candidates, according to socioeconomic criteria, for the formation of musicalization and instrument classes.
