Week of Teaching, Research and Extension da UFSC (SEPEX), in its 14th edition, has as its central theme “Extension, Action and Inclusion”. Check out appThursday's schedule:

10:30 pm - Papaya Ox, from NDI

One of the most traditional folkloric manifestations of Santa Catarina Island is presented by children in the morning Child Development Center da UFSC. The coordination of the event is prepared by Arte-Educadora Vania Maria Broering and by the Pedagogical and Extension Coordinator Juliane Mendes Rosa La Banca.

12h30min. – Capoeira circle with the Ajagunã Group Palmares

The Extension Project Capoeira de Angola with the Ajaguña de Palmares Group and Mestre Khorvão presents all the rituals, musicality and fundamentals of capoeira learned by students during development in classes taught by the Prof. Adair Bonini e Master Khorvão

14h – Joyful Funeral

Musical piece presented by Theater, Cinema and Therapy Group for Users do CAPS, extension project for Department of Psychology da UFSC, in which the central theme is the fear of death, which can make life unbearable. The objective is to lead the public to rediscover the value of life and the importance of loving it deeply at every moment. The play is coordinated by Prof. Marcos Eduardo Rocha Lima.

15h – Invitation to Look

Scenic performance that integrates the Silk Pencil Company, Florianopolis, linked to Baobah Research Center New Forms of Intelligence. The concept of this artistic work involves characterizing individuals as unique (how each individual reacts to different situations) and also aims to subtly deconstruct concepts fixed in our society. The overall coordination of the project is Jussara Paraná Sanches Figueira.

16h – Teatro Capitã Reciclagem and her friend Joaninha 

The play's script addresses the issue of waste production in today's society and the importance of giving everything its proper destination. This piece is used in environmental education activities with preschool and elementary school students. Coordination is Marlene Alano Coelho Aguilar, while extension scholarship holders Andressa dos Passos Barbosa e Tuany Lohn Cardoso will perform the play.

17h – Três Raças Dance Group, from CENETI

Choreography presentation “Baianas Dance” do Dance Group of the Student Center of the Center for Third Age Studies (CENETI) of UFSC, which has members over 60 years old. The presentation is coordinated by Urilda Soares.

18 h. – UFSC Choir

The choir, which has a repertoire focused on Popular Brazilian Music, is made up of students, professors and staff from UFSC, as well as people from the external community. The group has existed since 1963 in University. The presentation is focused on the singer Elis the Queen.
